Forget Brexit woes for just a moment. Burnout is real and is a serious threat to our goals and ambitions for 2019 and beyond. We drink coffee, Red bull and sometimes take pro-plus to give us that extra kick to get us through the day. Continuous connectivity via our ‘smart phones’ and the push for continuous growth can leave us measuring success by dangerously narrow definitions. This in turn, leads to stress, and stress left unchecked can turn to burnout.
If we are prepared to make subtle consistent changes to our daily habits, burnout is totally avoidable. Keeley is a passionate advocate of the ‘small wins’ success model that promotes tactical self-directed changes to optimise human potentiality. In this March’s talk, Keeley will be sharing three key concepts from the ‘Shine Bright’ course, that centres on, body awareness, will power and smart phone self-care strategies.
Keeley Taverner is a psychotherapist that started adulthood as a single mother of two working as a cashier at Ikea. From women’s refuge to fighting for a place at a university to coaching prisoners, to running her own practice, Key For Change, Keeley has boldly, passionately and courageously defied the odds -- and now she's on a mission to help others do the same.
