Don waders and help us remove this non-native invasive species from our precious waterways.
Growing at up to 20cm a day, floating pennywort(Hydrocotyle ranunculoides) quickly takes over our rivers. It outcompetes our native plants for light and space, reduces waterflow and, when it dies, it reduces oxygen levels, which is unfavourable to our aquatic wildlife. And where better to be than in a river on a summer day.
