intu Uxbridge’s popular Mexican restaurant, Cocina, is embracing Halloween and Day of the Dead with two whole weeks of spook-tacular offers and events for students and young kids over half term.

From Monday 21 October to Sunday 3 November, Cocina will be transforming its upper floor into an arts and crafts zone for kids during the day times, with various activities to choose from; skull shape colouring art, hitting the pinata and goody bags to take away. Plus, anyone who buys a main meal in the restaurant will be entitled to a free children’s meal for their little monster, too.
A best-dressed competition will see the owner of the most BOO-tiful children’s costume over the two-week period winning a sombrero hat and a Mexican poncho … so don’t let your little one be a lazy bones when it comes to getting dressed in the morning!
But that’s not all … Uxbridge’s university students will be able to take advantage of brilliant discounts on food and drinks from 7-10pm across the two weeks. From Ł1 tequila shots and a group deal offering six Day of the Dead cocktails with six tequila shots for just Ł25, to giveaways for the best-dressed and spookiest students, this fun is not to be missed.
Cocina’s smoking Day of the Dead cocktail – La Catrina – is inspired by the streets of Mexico celebrating their deceased loved ones. La Catrina served in a skull-shaped glass and is a mix of, you guessed it, spirits! Drink a couple and you’ll be sure to be howling and having a good cackle with your friends … #squadghouls.
The celebrations will coincide with intu Uxbridge’s own fang-tastic Halloween family fun which includes a silent disco and a ghost hunt.
We’ve got something for everyone, try the Mexican-inspired tapas and hero dishes including full-to-the-brim burritos and soft tortilla tacos, not to mention an extensive selection of gluten-free and vegan options, you’ll be truly spoilt for choice at Cocina.
