intu Uxbridge’s annual Give A Gift campaign has officially launched, and shoppers are invited to donate presents to children in hospital over Christmas.
The donated gifts will be sent to children from Hillingdon Hospital’s Peter Pan and Wendy Ward. Although the ward is undergoing refurbishment, the gifts will be passed to the temporary paediatric unit where the young patients are currently staying.
Shoppers who wish to donate a gift can head to intu Uxbridge’s customer information desk, where they can collect a gift tag telling them what age range they should buy for. Presents must be dropped off – unwrapped – back to the customer information desk by Monday 16th December intu Uxbridge’s very own team of elves will then wrap and deliver the gifts to the children on Wednesday 18 December.
Laurie Taylor, general manager of intu Uxbridge, said: “This is a real feel-good campaign, which we hope lots of shoppers will get involved with. Christmas is all about caring and sharing, so it’s a great thing to do. It’s fantastic to work with community partners such as Hillingdon Hospital to make a positive impact for the poor patients spending Christmas in hospital.”
