After more than two months in lockdown, Uxbridge Town Centre is about to welcome back those who love it most!
Over the past few months, the Love Uxbridge message has been very clear; events, shopping, trips to the pub and cinema and eating out.
Although these things were temporarily postponed, we are now beginning to see the Town Centre reopening and the message rings truer than ever. Uxbridge is back for shopping, food and funů
Love Uxbridge just wants to say how proud it is of Uxbridge, of the compassion and community spirit that has thrived over the past few months. We now know our neighbours, appreciate those who do so much for so little, and are more aware of our environment.
You have stayed home, become a zoom expert, potted plants, worked, home schooled, survived home school, cared and communicated with loved ones far and wide, become an expert baker (watch out Mary Berry) and clapped every Thursday at 8pm for those doing their utmost to protect and save their community.
As Uxbridge Town centre begins to slowly awaken; with businesses opening their doors, ready to chat, serve and help you once again, we are reminded of the wonderful variety of retail shops, eateries and supermarkets, and celebrate that there is something for everyone and believe that you are guaranteed to find what you need on your doorstep.
Our high-street has changed, however it is not a bad thing, with change comes exciting new opportunities, learning new skills and businesses expanding and adapting in new ways. However, now more than ever we need to support local businesses, local shops, local eateries, independents and high street stores alike.
So, remember, support independents, our supermarkets, corner shops and grocers, use takeaways from local restaurants or pubs (many eateries are on Just Eat, Deliveroo and UberEATS), use local businesses for essential services such as eye tests and dentistry, support market traders, local hairdressers and beauty salons.
Through doing this you will be helping the community get back on its feet after a difficult few months.
Over the coming weeks and months, we will continue to stand together, support each other and our Town Centre.
In recognition of the Government Advice and key messages from our Local Authority, Uxbridge BID, and local business community, Love Uxbridge would ask you to adhere to the physical distance measures put in place to protect us all, and to act responsibly in accordance with the UK Government guidelines.
