This week, intu Uxbridge has seen more restaurants and the Odeon cinema open, indicating positive signs that life is returning to a sense of normality, and more reasons for visitors to be happy.

Due to high demand, some of the centre’s retail brands are also increasing their hours – to as late as 9pm. intu Uxbridge has 98% of its stores now open and each week the centre is seeing a steady increase in visitors enjoying a little retail therapy and dining out with friends and family.

Adding to the draw of the centre, the Odeon cinema opened this week with new releases and an exciting line up of long-awaited feature films, including Unhinged, Tenet, Karate kid anniversary edition, Dreambuilders, Pinocchio and 100% Wolf.

People in the region are also being invited to ‘get back into cinema’ with several ‘Bring Back Films’ that are just £5 per ticket, and includes classic films such as: Trolls World Tour, Onward, Inception, Jurassic Park, Dunkirk, Dirty Dancing, Mamma Mia 1&2, The Fast & the Furious, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Dark Waters, Interstellar, All Harry Potter films, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, The Greatest Showman and The Invisible Man.

As with all businesses within the centre, the Odeon is doing everything it can to make sure people feel safe. An online video has been created to explain how:

The safety measures featured echo intu Uxbridge’s own processes in place to keep visitors safe. Face coverings are mandatory when on the mall and in the stores, hand sanitisation stations are to be used and are in place at all entrances and exits and throughout the mall, and visitors must observe social distancing.

Further great news for visitors to the centre is the reintroduction of £2 parking after 6pm, a great incentive to get out, grab a bite to eat or catch a film. This week saw Wagamama and Cocina join Nando’s, Bella Italia, Miller’s Tap, Wrapchic and Wok & Go plus the street food vendors in the Piazza by opening

JD Sports will now open until 7pm, Lidl until 9pm and Decathlon to 6.30pm, due to visitor demand. Decathlon is also accepting the government’s £50 cycle repair vouchers.
